Looks like there's going to be lots of interesting plotty things arcing through this series. So who is the creepy guy also sent back in time? My first thought that he was the pathologist, he did notice Alex's knowledge while they were looking over the body. And was date rape a term used in 1982 to describe that drug? Hmmm. Anyway, that was a creepy scene.

Things look to getting quite dark, lots of police corruption themes, from the Ray's casual bribe in the strip club to signs of a conspiracy involving that Super Mac character.

Plus lots of fun stuff too, like Chris' lovely post-modern stripping for Shaz in front of everyone. And it's good to see Shaz is still holding her own, I love her.

Shallow note: even though the perms gone its good to see Alex's fabulous 80s clothes are still there.

Loved the Grange Hill moment, and yay for Mrs McClusky! Molly's still a creepy child though.

And a nice mix of typical "sensitive" Gene and the moments with the young stripper, the initial interview and the when he was reassuring her he wouldn't tell her mum when she was dying in his arms. That was nicely underplayed by Philip Glenister. Then there was Gene Hunt, police negotiator which was priceless, even though the bastard had just shot the Quattro. And looking over the official site the Quattro's got its own page in the character section. Hee.
