Season finale, sob. But next season set up, yay! And surprise Moist!
Month of Spooks Day 7: Best exit?
Spooks certainly has gone through characters, so that means lots of dramatic exits. It's tough to narrow it down to just one. There are tragic ones (Danny! Colin!), emotional ones (Ruth! Even though she came back). The "contract negotiations go south" ones (Ros, sob!) Hmm, I'm going to go with Helen. That was one memorable exit. Meanwhile the newbies are saying who's that? I have three words for you: deep fat fryer. Of DOOM!
It's hard to get across just how shocking that one really was. Even the event itself isn't all that graphic compared to the in your face gore you get nowadays. Which of course makes it worse as it gives the imagination just enough to go on. But there was the crafty promotional material that put her as one of the main characters, and the actress was the best known out of the youngsters. Plus, British dramas just didn't do that, where storylines are spoilered in the tabloids constantly. Spooks managed to slip under the radar because it was new and no one really cared just yet. Now they had to deal with bloody spoilers just like the soaps do.

Bleh, respawn
Aug. 24th, 2010 10:21 pmNew Guild day, which helps make up for the fact that registration for college today knocked me on my ass. I don't know why it should have, the main college registration takes place next week so it wasn't as if it was really busy or stressful or anything like that, and it was with the same tutor and the same room as last term so I wasn't having to deal with new things. Bleh.

This has been helping with the wait for season 4, the art is pretty and the characters actually managed to look like the actors most of the time, OMG! The character voices come through just as well as on the show, in fact it is easy to imagine the actors saying the lines. If you like the show you should definitely consider buying this.
Here are a few scans to whet your appetite, 2 and a bit pages from issue 2 behind the cut, though it was a wrench to decide which bits to share. Vork's first appearance is epically heroic yet epically Vork, but I went with the first meeting between Codex and Zaboo. Ah, the beginning of a beautiful

Halloween is for epic loot!
Oct. 27th, 2009 01:51 pmHappy Halloween goodness from the Guild. And admit it, you've always wanted to write NOOB on car windscreens too.

Though I got a bit distracted looking around Felicia Day.com.

This weeks Guild gives me WoW raiding flashbacks. The Axis of Anarchy chat room reminds me of too many vent conversations. So many swears. Felicia Day is still too frickin adorkable!
Not content with waiting until whenever the UK arm of Disney distribution decides to release their films, I have gone in search of spoilers, and found some for Toy Story 3 and Cars 2. Toy Story 3 is determined to make me cry, I just know it, though Cars 2 still hasn't killed my fears its being done for merchandising, and I say that as someone who actually liked the original.

I think I'm developing a crush on Felicia Day. And scruffy Wil Wheaton. And... Vork? Really brain?
