Fannish Five: Top Five Sci Fi Outfits

lullabymoon asked: I see you watch a lot of scifi that have strong women characters (awesome socks! :D) and I want to know not who your top five are but your top five scifi outfits.

And so, in no particular order:



Okay, only loosely sci fi, but I don't care! Despite her numerous 80s fashion disasters, I can forgive Alex due to that white leather jacket.


The Next Generation Skant! This can only be seen in the background of a few episodes of the early seasons, obviously TV was just not ready for men in skirts, even though it is an improvement on the fashions of the day.


I love Aeryn's taste in fashion: practical black leather and big-ass guns, but I have a soft spot for this waistcoat type thing. And the gun belt.


While I have much love of Ten's Jarvis Cocker type duds, it is Eight who wins out due to nostalgia and green velvet. I really want that coat so much!


And last but not least it's Laura Roslin in her red skirt and top combo of getting high and getting laid. Simple yet sweet. And hot. Very hot.

SKANT! OMG I've not seen that in so long that it's actuall y hilarious.

AERYN! I think everyone has a soft spot for the gun belt.

That green velvet jacket is also rather awesome. SO is the rest of the outfit.

Red skirt combo is very hot. As everyone will atest to. :D

I want Eights coat so much! It inspired me to buy a green velvet coat, but it is cut too short and is a bit too modern in style. If I had the guts I would totally want to cosplay at cons as him.

Talking off Doctor Who, I had completely forgotten Romana, though with her variety of outfits she could fill one of these things. I do love her pink Fourth Doctor type outfit from Destiny of the Daleks.

I know! I fell for Mary when I was a wee thing watching Dances with Wolves, but only really noticed Keeley's awesomeness in Ashes to Ashes, though I did like her in Spooks.
