Ghost in the Machine
Computers. They are evil, everyone knows that, and of course when they achieve sentience they become fans of murder and Plans.
But look at the cute little 90s computers, and modem sounds. Aww.
You know you're in for a tough time when your villain is a bunch of blinking lights. And a creepy voice, even though that makes no sense. But see, it says things like "File Deleted" just after it killed some one. Ha ha dear God kill me now!
COMPUTERS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
But this episode certainly did not help with my fear of lifts, especially talking lifts. They are just waiting to plummet to your death!
Ice
This episode is also known as Ew ew ew ew EW!
Now this one is a good episode. Mulder and Scully and some extras trapped with an alien parasite which turns people homicidal and could have infected any of them. Paranoia! Conspiracy! Icky worms! Shirtless Mulder!
And I loved Scully's flying tackle of the infected pilot when he bashed Mulder on the head. And the fact that Mulder got bashed on the head. Only a little bit.
Hello Xander Berkeley, of 24 and many movies of dubious quality. And her from Desperate Housewives and Rack from Buffy too. So many familiar faces, and they're not even from the Reusable Canadian Actor Pool.
This episode also rocks because the dog lives! You can kill everyone else, just don't kill the dog!
Space
It's creepy Mars Rock Face! And lots of stock footage. Yeah, this episode sucks.
Now there's a familiar face. Hello Colonel Maybourne! Getting to take a shot playing Spot the Familiar Canadian Actor drinking game dulls the pain of this one. Slightly.
Fallen Angel
Oh Mulder, when will you learn that when you go sneaking about on your own you get your arse arrested?
This is one of those Mulder and Scully encounter vague conspiracies and don't get to actually accomplish anything episodes. There are a lot of those in this season. I must admit I am a Monster of the Week episode girl rather than the Mytharc.
Deep Throat gets to be shady and mysterious, but I'm more interested in the fact that he has his shady meeting with Mulder and Scully's boss on Caprica! Maybe he hopes he'll get to bump into Laura Roslin.
