Finished playing Portal 2 single player.

I am in so much love.

This comic pretty much sums up my feelings.

I'm going to go be passively aggressively insulted while shooting portals and flying through the air again.

My cousin's cousin finished the game in a day last week... Then he brought it over yesterday and I finished the first chapter of the game, and all I could think about was: is she going to insult me from a sideways direction until the end? XD

It threw me off though - playing on the XBox. I beat the first game on a uni friend's computer (I was really surprised AND proud of myself for that because I am usually horrible at games), and my fingers don't use the XBox controls very well. THEN, we played COOP! And ooh boy. :) Have you tried it yet? At least she's not holding a grudge against you anymore... not that she treats you any better. >>"

I haven't dared co op yet, I'm waiting for my sister to come back from her holidays and hurry up and purchase the game. World of Warcraft has made me a bit gun shy off playing with random people from the internet ;).

Single player is awesome, though I don't want to spoil it for you. Some events are hysterical.

It's TONS of fun though. :D And it's interesting when only ONE player dies... >>" and you get stranded on a platform... in the middle of a pool of dirty water holding the round safety-cube. XD

Ah - I'm still sad that the British/Australian accent? little guy who was 'helping' you in the beginning is gone. *sigh* Though I'm expecting something about him later on in the game according to the cousin. :) And I can't wait. :D I played a bit more yesterday, and I think I'm getting a better handle on it, but I'm still uhmm... terrified of the turrets. In the first game, the only level my friend had to help me on was the first level with the turrets in the glass room because I was so terrified of them at first. I eventually thought them cute, but now, I'm just terrified again.

British accent, he's played by Stephen Merchant. There is lots of him in the single player, and it is hilarious.

Heh, at first the turrets creeped me out, but they're so incompetent I just find them cute noe. As cute as something filled with bullets can be. Though I have still died to them a few times. They are so cute when they fall over shooting madly.

Ah that explains a lot.

And oh gods - we got to the turrets today in the Co-op and I lost it. Walked myself right off a terrace. However, after that first moment I was fine. :) Heh, even did my favorite thing of picking them up from behind. XD They are so adorable once you get over the voices... and what they are saying... and the bullets shooting at you.

That said, I've just realized how much of a complete lie this song is if you look at the second game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI

oooh, go you!

I've only got past the first stage (GlaDOS waking up and all) due to not being allowed on my brother's computer much (and the whole motion sickness problem), but I adore the game so far!

(comic is amusing)

Bleh, motion sickness sucks, interfering with gaming.

grr, I know right. Never happened with a game before.

I was only on for like half an hour, and then I had to lie down because I though I'd be sick. *le sigh*

Have you played First Person Shooters before? I've heard a few people have trouble with those types of games. I get a bit sickly if I watch someone else play for too long, though I'm ok when I play myself.

nah, it's just Portal xD FPS games are fine (though granted, I rarely play them, and most have been console games, so the effect is reduced).

I think it's partly because Portal can be so disorientating XD
