Sadly the style doesn't make it obvious that this was done by the A team of feature Disney animators in Burbank, the bright colour pallet of the computer makes it look very similar to the Pooh cashins movies of the past decade. And it's opening in America against Harry Potter the Finale part two.

Sigh. We're never going to get to see a 2d animated Snow Queen.

It actually was hand-drawn though, so it's a step in the right direction. That being said, I'm at work so I can't watch the trailer right now, but I hope they at least try to mimic the feel of the original shorts. They had a charm to them that the new movies completely lack.

Oh yes, and with the character animation they have tried to keep the scratchy, xeroxed look of the originals as best they can with the clean computer inking system. And Eeyore looks suitably depressed. I've actually come across a cuddly toy of him that's actually smiling for God's sake!

Oy. Though, to be fair, didn't he smile at the end of his birthday party in the original? So it's not totally without precedent. Still, it's certainly the exception to the rule.

Yeah, I can't really imagine him grinning at being stuck in a silly costume like this was. It was very undignified.
