Kitty Envy!

Even though it takes ages, and I really should be running around stomping out Alliance scum fires to get enough blossoms to get the summer spark pet, I downloaded the Warcraft public test realm. I just had to see the new kitties and bears in action.

Unfortunately, Blizzard is taking its sweet time copying over my character. So I made a little alt and ran up to Thunder Bluff to see if any druids were showing off their new forms.



And on my run I spotted my first druid. OMG, its a Tauren cat that doesn't look stupid!

Another new thing in the patch is a zepplin from Thunder Bluff to Org. Though if I had to make the hellish run through the Barrens to Durotar to get the flight paths, the noobs should have to too.


That can't be very aereodynamic.


Here you can see a few examples of the new bear colours.


An interesting note, the zep doesn't instance out but instead travels through the Barrens. So it looks like the Barrens will be littered with corpses as well as inane chat.

Likely Dalaran will be full of druids, so I'll be able to see if the Night Elf druid forms are as, ahem, colourful as their pictures made out once my character finaly makes it over there. I WANNA SEE WHAT COLOUR MY BEAR AND KITTY WILL BE!

Now, see, why did you have to post this? I haven't played in over a year, quit cold turkey, and now they're finally making new skins for Druids?!?

If I can't pry myself away from it everyone else must suffer too ;). Though I have stopped raiding and so managed to claw back some time, Blizzard keep doing things like this and keep me going back for more.

Though the swimming form is still the ame ugly old thing.
