Happy Whomas!
Dec. 26th, 2011 10:05 pmThe thing about Moffat running the show is you now get to see Moffat by the numbers, which was this episode. It was no Voyage of the Damned, thank God, but it wasn't the best. Plot holes and overlong, some eye-roll worthy gender issues and so much treacle, but the atmosphere was great if not the distilled Christmas of last years and the Mum from Ountnumbered was great. Had a bit of trouble taking Alexander Armstrong as the RAF pilot dad though.
The moment pilotDad's plane was in trouble I was thinking I would be impressed if he stayed dead, because sometimes character death does work, but eh it is Christmas. And RTD probably used up all the Christmas deaths with Voyage of the Damned.
