Even though I couldn't fit this one into an ar_drabbles challenge, here's another sequel to Drawing the Lines and Crossing the Line. Another day at grade school Galactica.

Of all the postings for a rainy recess, the kindergartners were the worst. Surrounded by whining kids, Billy was grateful that Laurie was there too. Not that he would tell her. Lee was far to familiar with him to listen to him, and anyway he was sulking over Kara ditching him for Sammy as her best friend.

"Just punch him."

"Billy Adama, that's not the way you're supposed to solve arguments!" She could move quietly, even when one of them had attached himself to her. "He's little Billy. He's a better Billy than you."

Then Kara tipped paint over Saul.

I do like the way you create the parallels with the adults we know: the Lee/Kara/Sam triangle, little Billy attaching himself to Laura and Kara provoking Saul with Laura and Bill in the centre of it all trying to keep control.

This universe is so adorable! Great incorporation of the youngsters of BSG, and I loved the last line. It seems to suggest that the time for debating the best method of solving arguments is over, and now, onto the next crisis. I also now have a wonderful image of a small, fuzzy-headed Billy Keikaya clinging to Roslin's leg.

That image is just so cute. Though now for my next one I must add a little Tory Foster too, doing her little mini Laura impression. Then Laura and her two assistants can rule the school.

I don't know how well Tory and Billy would get along, actually. I've always thought Tory might have felt threatened by Billy, because he and Laura had such a strong relationship, and I think in some ways she felt she was competing with his memory for Laura's affection.
