More signs I've been on the internet too long: with two male characters, having been discussing an open relationship and then about to get it on before getting interupted by the arrival of the old flame of one of them, my reaction is to what is supposed to be a shock is OMG yay Rahne still has her cute bob style hairdo!

X Force may have been bad for emotional well being, but it was good for hairstyles!

Spinning off from Joss Whedon's Astonishing X Men (which was really good, but also very typically Joss Whedon. If you've read it you know what I mean.), the adventures of Brand and Beast, IN SPACE! Despite Beast's weird long face look, the art was nice but more importantly this was FUN! Imagine that, no grimdark serious business but something that was genuinely fun and entertaining. So of course the actual line only lasted 5 issues, but at least that was long enough to tell a complete story.

And it is also a good example that the best way to develop a Joss Whedon relationship is to not let him anywhere near it! Brand/Beast are an awesome, and more importantly fun! couple that play off well even after the hook up.
