A sequel to "You'd Be Surprised." Further adventures of blond!Laura.
It was tough being a teacher, even if just a student teacher, having to deal with a hyperactive mob of five year olds while the actual teacher is out outside (an errand, she swears, yet took as long as a smoke break). A pile of lecture notes sit on her desk, right next to the phone that she should be using no matter what her mother says ("The results won't be back until next week, don't worry about it until then."). The last thing she needed was being dragged from bar to bar in a group of tipsy, drunken student teachers, desperate to reassure themselves that they are not teachers just yet.
This last one is going to be the last, she decides as she tucks a blond strand behind her ear and watches as they talk and laugh, until she is dragged off by Cathy. And so while her oldest friend gets to reconnect with an old boyfriend, she gets to play babysitter to his friend, stony faced and hardly handsome yet does manage to pull off the mustached look.
Struggling through awkward conversation, and she is ready to kill Cathy, no matter how frustratingly familiar she finds him.
