Beware The Interconnectedness of Things!
Apr. 15th, 2012 12:29 pmThe saga of how my toaster killed my graphics card.
I get up and I want some toast so I go to make some toast. The toaster does not want to make toast, so shorts out, setting off the fuses. And the pc was on at the time, so it cuts out. When I switch on the fuse, get the toaster to behave and go back to re-turn on the pc I keep getting 'signal over range' on my screen instead of internets.
Some poking about in safe mode later I figure out it's the graphics card, and when I disable it everything else works normally.
I haven't dared see if my games still work without it.
Fracking Cylons!
