Man on Wire

My current evening film studies class is going to result in me buying lots of dvds. I've already caved and bought the first film we looked at, Man on Wire, which tells the story of lunatic/genius Philippe Petit who, with only a motley crew of friends and unlikely people he managed to convince to help, broke into the Twin Towers, strung a wire between them and walked on it for around 40 minutes, all quite illegally.

Staged as a heist movie, but with the goal not to steal but to do something awe-inspiring and completely insane, it was nice to see something about the World Trade Center that was uplifting and happy.
