On to the series proper, Scully now has that familiar Scully bob and colour, and those fugly suits. It'll be a few more seasons until the wardrobe budget improves, yet she does manage to look quite lovely in them. Hmm, potential picspam topic I think; Scully's fugly suits of epic hottness.

Hello Deep Throat, being vague and unhelpful just like I remember.

And hello prepubescent Seth Green. And apart from a haircut he hasn't changed that much.

Mulder gets to be stupid while Sculley gets to be awesome. Because wandering out into the open on a top secret air force base while staring at the 90s cgi spaceships is just asking for a capturing and getting jabbed with needles. Good thing Scully is around to kidnap dodgey men in suits for hostage exchanges.

The first proper monster of the week story, and it is awesome! It's hard to beat a century old serial killer who emerges every thirty years to kill people and steal their livers, while being able to squeeze though very narrow gaps.

Plus, Mulder and Scully actually achieve something and catch the bad guy.

This one is one of my absolute favorite episodes ever, and it's good to see it still manages to hold up.

Back to the aliens, but all the Samantha background stuff in this one makes it interesting. That was my favorite thread of the mythology. Pity it turns out she is fucking starlight!

On the actualy episode, Mulder gets to be emo and over-invests in the case, and it has a creepy kid in it. Scully doesn't get to do much, but is awesome anyway.
