Damn you cheap DVDs!

Bought the first series of Ashes to Ashes from Amazon, damn tenner price was just taunting me. But it has Alex being rude to her "imaginary constructs" which was hilarious, and was understandably missing from series two. And I need something to watch since it'll be about a year until the third series is on the telly. The British system may result in quality over quantity (usually), but the waiting is a bitch. Still, being used to it did help with BSG's hiatuses from hell.

Some thoughts on THAT cliffhanger and the eventual resolution. )

Springwatch and Ashes to Ashes.

Yay for Springwatch, though it's not the same without Bill Odie. But when the hell did Chris Packham become so dishy? He is one of the faces from my childhood, I am not supposed to have naughty thoughts about him. I wonder if anything will match the hilarity of a few years back when the barn owl chicks started eating each other until there was only one left. Yes I am completely heartless, but watching nature documentaries all through my childhood has completely desensitized me to these things.

Ashes to Ashes )

I have the dentists tomorrow. Joy. Yeah, I'm not getting any sleep tonight.

Everyone else must suffer and some vauge Ashes to Ashes thoughts.

[Error: unknown template qotd]

Yes, this...monstrocity.

The horror of Pants Man cannot be contained.

My brain's refusing to work properly tonight, so some brief thoughts on tonights Ashes to Ashes. )

Swine flu has made it to the UK. Now I have the urge to play Pandemic 2 and curse at Madagascar and their dammed single port.

Upcomming Telly

With Battlestar ended (FOR EVAH *sob*) and Law and Order finishing next Monday (because ITV suck and can't show the full series, nooooo), telly's going to be a bit bleak. Looks like it'll be 24 news and the Crime channel for a while.

But wait. What is that on youtube? Trailers? Hooray.

Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead )

I'm trying to not get my hopes up for the Doctor Who special. My previous experience has been mixed. The Runaway Bride and The Next Doctor were good, the Christmas Invasion and Voyage of the Damned were bad. Best to think the very worst going in, so if it does have problems I'll still be pleasantly surprised that it's not godawful.

Ashes to Ashes Series 2 )

Ashes to Ashes, yay. This one has the extra nostalgia edge because I can actually remember the 80s, even though technically I do feel Life on Mars was better. Even though I must admit to blasphemy that I prefer Alex to Sam. It's just Sam was a bit wet, no matter how nicely John Simm can cry.

And best of all!

Timmy the lamb from Shaun the Sheep gets his own spin off.

That's on far too early in the morning though. 9 am, who is it aimed at, kiddies? Pah!
