Oh Lordy, my mother needs better taste in fantasy.

She's started reading my Anne McCaffrey books, but can I convince her to read Terry Pratchett? Can I hell!

Dammit, he's good fantasy!

Maurice is made of so much win, I can't believe he got away with that as a children's book! You must read more Pratchett, he is awesome! Anything after Mort is golden, his earlier Discworld stuff's more direct parody of fantasy books and a little harder going, though one of those he pokes at is the Pern series :D. I'm still to finish the Light Fantastic, for shame.

I loved that book, so much, and I will have to keep a note of your suggestion. I actually started Good Omens before I was distracted by RL, and it had to be returned. >>"

I've also been taking a peek at your book reviews, to get some suggestions. Otherwise, I've been reading short stories from fantasy anthologies and looking up authors and novels from there. LOL, which isn't a bad way to go either thankfully. :)

Do you like LeGuin by the way?

I have quite a few LeGuin books in my to read pile, I've only read finished the first two Earthsea novels of hers but she's definitely one I want to read more off.

Gah - I have quite a few of hers in my to-read pile as well. So far, I haven't managed to read any of her novels, but I fell head-over-heels into her short stories. Basically, her writing makes me feel all... puddly, >>" as strange a description as that is.
