Ooookay, this is all
icedteainthebag's fault. And I'm not expecting much of a response because I've not actually been brave enough to put any fanfic up here, but...
The first ten people to post with a prompt and any pairing get a 100ish word drabble, genish as I don't think the world deserves to have my awkward smut inflicted on it, and in return you have to do this in your journal.
Fandoms I think I can manage are: Doctor Who, Ashes to Ashes, Battlestar Galactica, X Files.

She is well known for it, her friends and family teasing as they practically have to force her on the various blind dates they set up for her. Her work is enough for her, and the change in administration along with all the usual responsibilities in the Department of Education is more than enough to keep her busy.
So it is with some surprise that she finds herself in a little Italian place, talking over dinner with a man she has just met. She's not even sure of his last name, and before she would have said he was definitely not her type, but he has surprising blue eyes and his smile has a way of lighting up his stern face.
She certainly does not believe in love at first sight, but when their hands touch when both reach for the check the sudden rush of longing and recognition is almost enough to send her running were it not for her sense of propriety. Instead they squabble over who will pay.
