Book Review

I've been mulling over this one. While people had mentioned noticing a difference in his writing with Unseen Achedemicals and I Shall Wear Midnight, this is the one where I finally see it. It's not that it's bad, it's just not as sharp as other Watch books. Especially in comparison to Thud or Nightwatch. When focusing on Vimes it's fine, but the subplots back with the Watch feel very shoehorned in. Needs more Angua.

But it's Vimes in a countryside manor house with a murder to solve. I was sold at that.
