"You can't have your ball back!" Arms folded she glares down at him from the top of the stairs. Billy glowers back, irritated at her superior position, but the main door steps are girl territory

"Why not?"

"Because he-" her finger points accusingly at his best friend lurking five steps behind him, "pushed Ellen over last recess."

"She pushed me first!"

"That is a lie Saul Tigh!" Hands on hips and all indignant fury, Ellen easily shoves Laurie aside, the pair only allied in the face of a mutual foe.

"You're the liar. Big fat liar!"

"I am not fat!"

Children will be children and Saul and Ellen will be Saul and Ellen! Not to mention Bill will be Bill, protecting Saul, and Laura will be Laura overseeing all of their goings on and definitely not friends with Ellen.
