Having been looking through my old personal entries, I realise I really, really need to do a 'where I am now' post. Watch this space.

Poor Livejournal, getting the short end of the "many different task to juggle" stick, and yes I know that is one mangled metaphor. Sadly I am too stuffed with trifle to be able to pick at new Who beyond "yay new titles sequence!" and so can't say much more than Happy Christmas Everybody!

So Happy Christmas Everybody.

(And Livejournal, no I am not switching to the new friends page, stop asking.)

Exam result time. A's in Int 2 Maths and English.

I just got my first A's. And one was Maths!

There are not enough goggle eyed mouth dropping smileys in the world!

Just goes to show what you can do when you actually revise. Yes, I am looking at you, teen me!

Exams are all over, so no more revision to do. Well, I could, though I don't think it would do anything. How many times do quadratic equations come up in real life anyway?

I am knackered! And that's just after two,I don't know how I managed the mandated multiple subjects back in high school.

Oh yeah, I just coasted. Math was failed because it needed work. But this time I was revising my socks of, so maybe second time lucky.

My Introduction to Politics course at college involves a Contemporary Issues project, and after watching Mum caring for Gran last year I've decided to do mine on the importance of support for carers. Could I trouble my flist to fill in this very quick, anonymous survey, which has the purpose of showing how many people are affected by caring, whether by doing it themselves or knowing someone who does.

If you answer yes to question one, are you or have you ever been a carer, could you fill in this second survey? Again still anonymous, this one has 4 questions.

Thanks very much, and normal Fandom related posting will return shortly. Going to see the Avengers later. I wonder how many shouts of "Damn it Joss!" and fist shaking it will incur.

Off to the North.

A sunny day means gardening, yay. Apart from the part were I have to dig out bricks to be able to plant something that might even be dead already. Who puts bricks alongside a fence and then covers them with dirt anyway?

Though once I scraped off the topsoil this was what greeted me.

(Not the actual brick, as I didn't have my camera handy and it was covered in dirt.)

Damn it Bill, find a way to grieve that doesn't result in hard work for me!

Real life's got me reeling, some scary but positive and one great big bad thing that nothing can be done about.

So have a cross-eyed opossum.

Time to watch all the Scottish shite that gets shown on Hogmanay while getting drunk. And listen to David Tennant narrate polar bears. We didn't get it when the rest of the country did because BBC Scotland is shite.

Visit Chernobyl.

The abandoned town of Pripyat is tragically fascinating, and ever since seeing this collection of photographs from it I've always wondered what it would be like to actually see it in person.
